ABOUT IMAGE
IMAGE is an EU-funded partnership of 5 European universities: Leeds Beckett University, Helsinki University, Free University Amsterdam, Medical School Berlin and the University of Toulouse. IMAGE aims to improve autistic graduate employment across Europe. We provide resources and tools for careers advisors, autistic students and graduates, academics and employers.
ABOUT IMAGE OUTPUTS
We will present the 4 Good Practice Guides we have created for Careers Advisors, for Academics, for HE managers and policymakers and for Employers. These guides are available online to browse interactively, and also for download as customisable PDF files.
We have created training materials that can be used by universities or individuals to learn about, and teach others, the best way to advise student on their career options and the process of applying for and securing a job.
We will launch an online toolkit for autistic students and graduates, to learn about the steps and challenges involved in choosing a career, selecting and applying for a job, and settling into the workplace. The toolkit includes “How to…” articles for various situations, case studies and first-person accounts from other graduates. This is combined with an interactive profile builder that turns strengths, challenges and preferences into templates that can be used during the job application process.
More about the project can be found at www.imageautism.com.
