Our competition is for poems based on a painting (this can be broadly interpreted). There are no style or length restrictions, but it should be stressed that a short poem is just as likely to be selected as a longer one.

These year’s 5-week Summer School focuses on contemporary 21st Century Poetry. With exercises, tutorials and reliable feedback the students will explore different poetry styles. They will be introduced to new ways to approach their own poetry and helped to develop skills that will ensure that they will be able to develop further as poets. They will undertake a personal project and get help in identifying their strengths so that they can get the very best from their poetry.
