FashionSEEDS (Fashion Societal, Economic & Environmental Design-led Sustainability) is a European collaborative network of fashion universities, using radical design-led approaches.

01 October, 15:40 – 17:15 CET
Aligning Fashion Education with Socio-cultural contexts and Professional fields, chaired by Prof. Dilys Williams who will be joined with researchers Timo Rissanen, Jeppe Ugelvig and Noel Palomo-Lovinski.

During this session Prof. Williams will introduce the themes and outcomes of the FashionSEEDS project.

02 October, 17:00 – 18.30 CET
FashionSEEDS team will explore ways in which we can transform fashion for sustainability education, share insights from the project’s extensive research across education and industry, and launch a platform of new tutor resources that will support educators in considering and applying the why, what, how and with whom of teaching fashion design for sustainability.

The session will connect a network of educators to enable an urgent and evolving process of transformation of both education and of the fashion sector. By fostering mutual learning this session aims to open transnational cooperation between a broad range of tutors working in Higher Education worldwide.
