We all seem keen to start meeting again and communicating about shared concerns after a time of huge upheavals and changed conditions in our workspaces. Our first meeting could be an online one and I have attached a link for a Doodle poll to identify a best date in early November after half-term:

Once we have agreed a date, I will send out further details for a meeting. As a first item for discussion, I would like to propose merging APML and LLPSLG into one group. Most of our membership is within Greater London and its close county neighbours and the title of the new group could be London Independent Libraries & Archives, LILA.
The two groups have always had an overlapping membership and with the employment changes that have taken place during lockdown and Covid-19 business continuity management have significantly affected their memberships, it could be a good time to think about new ways of working and supporting each other.
We could also discuss the concerns we have looking to the future and how we would like to develop our services and collections in the future and use this to provide a programme for our future meetings. I would also be grateful for offers to host meetings - & if someone can host the November meeting, I know a lot of us would love the chance to meet up in person and have tea/coffee and cake together. I'll bring the cake!
Best wishes
Jacqui
