## Call for participation ##
The ESA-CLAIRE AI Special Interest Group on Space
(http://claire-ai.org/sig-space/) is organizing its second online conference on
the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for applications in space technology.
The conference, organized in association with ECML PKDD 2021
(http://spaceandai.ijs.si), will be a full-day event and will take place on
Monday, September 13th (a tutorial and workshop day for ECML PKDD 2021).
The program of the event includes 3 keynote talks and 22 contributed
presentations, covering topics concerning different AI methods and different
areas of space technology.
For a taste of the rich program, here is the list of confirmed keynote talks:
- Robust Vision Algorithms for Collaborative Robots towards Lunar ISRU, Tat-Jun
Chin, Professorial Chair of Sentient Satellites, The University of Adelaide,
Australia.
- Developments and Trends in Artificial Intelligence for Deep Space
Exploration, Binfeng Pan, Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), China.
- The neural spacecraft: New trends in spacecraft on-board networks, Dario
Izzo, Advanced Concepts Team, European Space Agency.
