Hi all,

Since acquiring the University of Buckingham Press in 2019, we have been focused on both expanding its books and journals as well as transitioning its published content toward open access. As part of this we have been having conversations with libraries over transformative agreements, through which they can publish in and access content across our publications under a single agreement.

While we hear much more of the deals being agreed with the major conglomerate publishers, there appear to be many very interesting conversations between the libraries and smaller academic presses.

This led us to launch the Libraries and Small to Medium Publishers Survey, looking specifically at how libraries currently work with small to medium publishers and what they are looking for in transformative agreements.
