Invitation to contribute a paper for a Global South topical collection (special edition) of the journal Discover Sustainability
Discover Sustainability (https://www.springer.com/journal/43621) is part of the Discover Journal Series committed to providing a streamlined submission process, rapid review and publication, and a high level of author service at every stage. It is an open access, community-focused journal publishing research from across all fields relevant to sustainability research. Note that article processing fees are payable, but that support with funding for deserving cases may be made available.
We would like to invite you to contribute to the topical collection on “Enhancing sustainability in the Global South: Insights, perspectives and approaches”. (https://link.springer.com/collections/bhhedifgbe)
We welcome papers based on the contribution of Southern worldviews to the achievement of sustainable development and localization of the SDGs, as well as approaches, methods, initiatives and projects illustrative of the unique contributions from the South in addressing 21st century sustainability challenges.
This topical collection includes theoretical, empirical, case study, and review research contributions representing different methodological approaches and is open for submission till 30 September 2021 (negotiable).
If you are interested to contribute to this topical collection, please submit a 200-300 word abstract describing the aim, objectives, methods, results and implications of your proposed paper. The criteria for acceptance concern the significance of the contribution in terms of the enhancement of sustainability in the context of the Global South.
Please submit this abstract by 30th July 2021, along with a 50-word bio-note and full contact details of each contributing author as a single document to Prof Rudi Pretorius ([log in to unmask]). If accepted, you will be promptly informed, after which further details, arrangements and timelines can be discussed.
