We are excited to announce a short-term, paid internship opportunity in collaboration with Fir Farm in the Cotswolds.

We are seeking a highly motivated and capable individual to support our work over the next three months. Responsibilities will span a range of tasks including communications, research, projects, campaigns, events and admin.
The role will consist of three days per week for Sustainable Food Trust core work, plus two days per week supporting projects at Fir Farm. Fir Farm is owned by Lady Parker, a member of the SFT Board who has pioneered a mobile abattoir project and played a leading role in our campaign for local abattoirs. Fir Farm will also be showcasing our Global Farm Metric, measuring the sustainability of their farm and presenting this in a report, as well as hosting events over the next few months.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Support for projects which may include measuring and valuing sustainability, local food and local abattoirs, the role of grazing livestock in sustainable food systems, sustainable and healthy diets and pesticides in agriculture.
This support could include some research, writing, administration tasks and communications work.
Social media support for both the SFT and Fir Farm.
Supporting updates to the SFT and Fir Farm websites.
Developing and designing a brochure for Fir Farm’s Hill Barn venue.
Some tracking and reporting, such as website and social media analytics or mentions in the media.
Support in organising events and attending events, including summer farm visits.
