To whom it may concern,
Apologies for cross-posting. I am looking for survey participants for my postgraduate dissertation at the University of Glasgow in the Information Studies Department. I am researching how archives and other repositories work with online genealogy companies such as Ancestry or FindMyPast for digitization projects, focusing in particular on issues of open access to information, the useability of the resulting digital resources for various kinds of research, and long-term sustainable preservation of the records.
Participants should have experience working in an archive or other repository and assisting with a digitization project in partnership with an online genealogy company such as Ancestry or FindMyPast. The survey is fairly short, and should not take much time to complete. Participation is completely voluntary and highly appreciated. Any questions or concerns can be forwarded to me, my dissertation supervisor, or the ethics department at the contact information included in the survey.
Thank you in advance to anyone who is willing and able to participate. Your contributions are invaluable.
Yours sincerely,
Eleanor Kelley-Swift
