JULY 10-14, 2021
*********************************************************************
With just three weeks before GECCO 2021, the premier conference in genetic and
evolutionary computation, we are happy to announce that the detailed programme
is now available for download at https://gecco-2021.sigevo.org/Program.
GECCO 2021 will present the latest high-quality results in genetic and evolutionary
computation. Topics include: genetic algorithms, genetic programming, ant colony
optimization and swarm intelligence, complex systems (artificial life, robotics,
evolvable hardware, generative and developmental systems, artificial immune
systems), digital entertainment technologies and arts, evolutionary
combinatorial optimization and metaheuristics, evolutionary machine learning,
evolutionary multiobjective optimization, evolutionary numerical optimization, real
world applications, search-based software engineering, theory and more.
Highlights of the conference:
-- Three inspiring keynote speakers: Joshua Tenenbaum, MIT, USA, Marc Mézard,
École Normale Supérieure, France and Melanie Mitchell, Santa Fe Institute, USA.
-- 13 tracks, 22 workshops and 38 tutorials (8 new) presented by some of the
world's foremost experts.
-- Women@GECCO workshop: accomplished women researchers welcome and support
other women in evolutionary computation (EC).
-- Evolutionary Computation in Practice (ECiP): well-known speakers with
outstanding reputation present background and insider information on how to
establish reliable cooperation with industrial partners.
-- 2021 "Humies" Awards for Human-Competitive Results produced by Genetic and
Evolutionary Computation: to be announced during the conference, with awards
totalling $10,000, entries are still accepted until May 28, 2021!
-- 13 more competitions: using Evolutionary Computation and related techniques
in challenging practical, real-world and gaming settings.
-- SIGEVO Summer school (July 5-9): offering opportunities for students to meet
and work with fellow students as well as mentoring by senior researchers.
GECCO is organized and sponsored by SIGEVO, the Association for Computing
Machinery’s Special Interest Group for Genetic and Evolutionary Computation. We
thank our sponsors Cognizant, Google, Emapa and our supporters: University of
Lille and its Research Center in Computer Science, Signal and Automatic Control
of Lille, CRIStAL.
GECCO’21 will be hosted in Gather, a virtual game-like environment emulating a
virtual conference center and its surroundings. Events will be directly
accessible from Gather, but participants will also be given access to Whova, a
more traditional virtual conference platform providing a more structured access
to conference content and schedule.
Register to participate at the conference via
https://gecco-2021.sigevo.org/Registration before July 1, 2021!
