We seek highly qualified and motivated individuals with enthusiastic attitude towards high-quality research to work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Built Environment. The positions are for a period of 2 years, with a mid-term review, and should start during the autumn 2021 or 1st January 2022 at the latest. The positions are intended for full-time work.

The Postdoctoral Researcher's principal task is to conduct high quality multidisciplinary research related to a theme which links together at least two of the following research fields:

Research plans with sustainability aspects are encouraged.

Aalto University's strategy focuses on shaping a sustainable future, building on three core values of collaboration, courage and responsibility as well as three cross-cutting approaches of entrepreneurial mindset, radical creativity and sustainable solutions. Intelligent spatial planning enables built environments that best serve the needs of habitation, business and mobility. The Department of Built Environment runs four Master's Programs related to these themes and conducts world-class research in, e.g., projects funded by the Academy of Finland and European Research Council (ERC).
