Just to hammer this down a bit more, if I have .tif movies with 49 frames, and each frame is 3710 X 3838, that should translate to minimally 2.7 GB per MPI proc with one thread?
Here is what relion_image_handler says about one of the .tif files:
[log in to unmask] : (x,y,z,n)= 3710 x 3838 x 1 x 1 ; avg= 1.0305 stddev= 1.01565 minval= 0 maxval= 75; angpix = 1
