Apologies for cross-posting...
Dear list subscribers
We have created a series of six podcasts called ‘Drivers of Change’. Through this series we interrogated the extent to which local innovative projects can offer alternative, and sometimes radical, responses to wider scale challenges like climate change, housing shortages, the decline of the UK high street.
The series emerged as part of a research project carried out in the July 2020, while slowly re-emerging from the first UK Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, on “Podcasting: supporting students’ learning experience and enabling innovative practices among academic staff”.
One episode will be shared each week until 18 May on the Birmingham City University SoundCloud channel - you can follow this channel to stay updated: https://soundcloud.com/birmingham-city-university/sets/drivers-of-change At present, there are already three episodes on: co-working spaces, youth participation in planning and urban gardening.
The podcasts are purposely short. Their length is about 15-20 min, the time of a coffee break. Yet, they aim to provide empowering introductions to exciting and innovative UK-based projects that could be of some interest to list subscribers. Please feel free to share this email and the link above with students, particularly undergraduate students in planning and geography.
With best wishes
