Dear colleagues,
Apologies for cross-posting. We are currently recruiting two
postdoctoral researchers to join an NRF/GCRO-funded international
research project on 'Off Grid Cities', exploring how urban elites are
seceding from state provided infrastructure networks in South Africa's
cities.
One postdoctoral position will be based at the University of the Western
Cape, and the other at the Gauteng City-Region Observatory - undertaking
fieldwork in Cape Town and Johannesburg respectively.
The salary is ZAR300 000 pa, with funding for 2-3 years depending on
progress. There is no nationality requirement, although candidates with
SA experience are preferred. Applicants must be within 5 years of their
PhD and below the age of 45. The deadline for applying is 30 April.
The job adverts can be found here:

Many thanks,
- Charlotte
