Hi Everyone
A couple of reminders about CADE and open call EoI, and information about a DEAS inspired conference mini-track
Details of the DEAS special session at CADE - Delivering DEAS outside Manufacturing - are now available at https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/wmg/mediacentre/wmgevents/cade2021/tracks/
CADE (Competitive Advantage in the Digital Economy) 2021 will be an exclusively online two-day event, bringing together academics and practitioners to discuss the challenges of the digital economy and present the latest cutting edge research.
The Open call for proposals is still available on our website – www.deas.ac.uk If you are thinking of applying we would be grateful if you could complete the simple Expression of Interest form by 4th March 17.00. It is not compulsory and does not prohibit you from applying if you have not completed it but it would help us with our budgeting as we journey towards the end of the project funding.
(PS – don’t worry if you want to submit an EoI but cant get it to us till early next week).
Zena Wood and I are helping co chair a DEAS inspired mini-track at HICCS 2022. The Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS) has been running for over 50 years and welcomes contributions from a wide range of disciplines relevant to systems science, not just IS and CS
The mini-track title is: Co-creating value in the Circular Economy with financial services minitrack
Our minitrack will focus on the coming together of the 3 themes of digital transformation, servitisation and the Circular Economy (CE) and their impact on and relevance to the financial services sector.
We encourage researchers and practitioners in the fields of service science, finance, and the CE to address how digital transformation can help financial service providers facilitate and/or deliver servitisation business models. We welcome research papers, case studies, or practitioner reports related to development in all areas that explore the intersection of service science and CE within financial services.
We are encouraging conceptual paper and papers that report on lessons learned, on topics that
include, but are not limited to, the following:
• the role of financial services in the Digital Economy
• how financial service providers can support and/or deliver servitisation business models which is based on payment in use rather than in purchase
• how servitisation business models could ensure sustainability within the financial services sector
• the link between servitisation and the Circular Economy
• sustainable digital transformations within the financial services sector
• the role of regulation
• the role of data and/or decision analytics in financing or insuring for sustainability, green or zero carbon
• the role of FinTech and InsureTech in servitization and/or the CE
• how servitisation business models can help provide co-created in the CE within the financial services sector.
The deadline for paper submission is June 15, 2021 | 11:59 pm HST: Paper Submission Deadline
