Dear AMEMR Community,
I am reaching out to people who are knowledgeable about marine ecosystem modeling education and pedagogy.
Specifically, I'm looking for references about (i) the need for more quantitative training in our field, (ii) how group work can promote deep understanding of modeling concepts and practices, (iii) benefits of peer mentoring, esp. in regard to coding and critical thinking, and (iv) how peer assessment and self reflection pieces enhance learning.
I'd also welcome personal testimony from people who have taught introductory ecosystem modeling courses in regards to what approaches succeeded and what didn't.
Any suggestions you have would be very welcome. Pleases contact me directly at [log in to unmask]
Thanks
Wendy
