Hi all,
The AMG are delighted to announce two new events.
9:30 am, Monday 22nd February:
A REE software workshop, delivered by Michael Anenburg and Morgan Williams (ANU, Canberra). This will focus on two aspects, Michael will discuss a new method and interactive online app to quantitatively describe rare earth element patterns using lambda coefficients. There will also be a discussion of the REE tetrad effect, and show some applications of the method. Morgan has developed python codes that work with big geochemical data sets. He will discuss this data driven approach and provide some examples of how to use pyrolite to interpret your data.
Open to everyone (UK and International), free to attend, but registration is necessary: https://www.minersoc.org/ree-software-workshop.html
15:00 pm Thursday 25th March:
AMG Open Geoscience Talk, Prof Éva Hartai, University of Miskolc, Hungary: “Production of energy and metals in an interlinked process: how ultra-deep metal enrichments can be utilised”.
Open to everyone (UK and International), free to attend, but registration is necessary: https://www.minersoc.org/amg-open.html
