There is a fixed term employment opportunity for the role of Project Assistant at Coventry University to work alongside Carolina Rito on a Coventry’s City of Culture 2021 project ‘Black Arts Movement’ that will explore the unique and exceptional role of Coventry and the Midlands in the foundation of the British Black Art Movement (BAM) since the 1980s. The project will celebrate this legacy via workshops, interviews, a conference and a working group engaging local BAME artists and academics.
The overall aim of the Project Assistant post is to work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and the Research Delivery Support Assistant to undertake guided research. The role will oversee and perform administrative functions concerned with the project. This will include events planning and coordination, social media, marketing, and liaising with partners and stakeholders.
Whilst this role is open to every person, we particularly welcome people from the BAME communities and backgrounds to apply for the role.
DEADLINE TO APPLY: Wednesday 10th February 2021. Interviews to take place on Monday 15th February 2021.
