This is the first call for papers for the 3rd European Conference on the Impact of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (ECIAIR 2021) hosted by Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL), Portugal
on 18 – 19 November 2021.
This call will close on 28th April 2021.
The crisis of COVID-19 has transformed our society and our perception of digital transformation. In this context, it is not only easier to understand the importance of technology, but also to recognise the fragility of our economies and especially of our lives. Awareness of the globalisation of problems, inequalities, and fragility of our society, especially in the health and economic dimensions, has shifted the focus to the resilience, dialogue, and mutual care capacities of societies.
We invite contributions for academic research, case studies and work-in-progress/posters are welcomed approaches. PhD Research, proposals for roundtable discussions, non-academic contributions and product demonstrations based on the main themes are also invited. A prize will be awarded to the best PhD paper and the best Poster.
In the first instance all submission types require an abstract. For more information, please go to: https://www.academic-conferences.org/conferences/eciair/eciair-call-for-papers/
Publication opportunities
Papers accepted for the conference will be published in the conference proceedings, subject to author registration and payment. The ECIAIR conference proceedings are published with an ISBN and ISSN and are indexed by a number of bodies, including Thomson ISI WOS and EBSCO.
Papers that have been presented at the conference will also be considered for further development and publication in the following journals:
• Electronic Journal of Knowledge Management
• ICSES Transactions on Data Science, Engineering and Technology
• International Journal of Technology and Human Interaction
We are hoping to be able to meet in person for a physical event in Lisbon, Portugal in November 2021. We know however that the events of this year have had a longer lasting impact on participants ability and willingness to travel for events. Therefore, we are planning for ECIAIR 2021 to be a “hybrid” conference. Meaning that there will be physical events with virtual elements built into it, to create an experience for both those who can attend in person and those able to attend online.
Please feel free to circulate this message to any colleagues or contacts you think may be interested.
Follow the conference on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
Kind regards
