The University of Limerick (UL) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Statistics within the Mathematics Consortium for Science and Industry (MACSI) group. This post is supported by a Science Foundation Ireland Frontiers of the Future award and is co-led by Prof. Norma Bargary at UL and Dr Andrew Simpkin at NUI Galway.
The successful candidate will be a core team member of the project and will develop new statistical models to describe the behaviour and relationships between multivariate, high-throughput sensor data and their temporal derivatives. The PDRA will also support a PhD student hired to work on the project, and will collaborate closely with a second PDRA to be hired in NUI Galway in 2021 and with collaborators at NUI Galway at the University of Bristol.

Key requirements: A doctoral degree (level 10 NFQ) completed or in final stages of completion, in Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or other relevant discipline with significant statistical content.
Experience in functional data analysis and/or mixed effects modelling is desirable.
