Dear all,
This is a call for scholars of any level who are working on comics and any aspect of war/conflict/state violence/genocide… I would like to connect with you.
My name is Harriet Earle. I’m a UK-based academic and scholar of trauma/war comics. I have previously published on the topic, currently trying to work out where trauma sits in relation to contemporary war comics.
Don’t worry – I’m not going to ask you to read or write anything. I know we’re all on our knees right now. But, I would love to know who is working in this field and what kinds of research we are all doing. I am in the early stages of setting up a network, with the aim of it being somewhere to share our thoughts and think about options for conference panels or edited collections in the future – even just to know who might be available for reviews or viva examiners.
If you would be interested, please send me an email with your name, affiliation, and any info you care to share about your research to [log in to unmask]
Thank you.
Very best wishes,
Hattie
