The Socio-Legal Studies Association annual conference will be take place online from 30 March to 1 April 2021. SPA members may be interested in presenting to the 'Social rights, citizenship and the welfare state' stream (we welcome papers that are more 'socio' than 'legal'). The call for papers for the social rights stream can be found at https://www.slsa2021.com/srcws and you can submit your abstracts via EasyChair at https://www.slsa2021.com/call-for-papers-posters.
A hastily-arranged online gathering of the stream in 2020 has resulted in a forthcoming coronavirus-themed special issue of the Journal of Social Security Law and we imagine there will be plenty more to say on that topic as well as on the usual social rights-related issues. And you will be able to present your paper from the comfort of your own living room! Please note that the conference committee have warned us that the deadline of 8 January will be strictly enforced.
We look forward to lots of interesting submissions, and to a successful virtual conference.
Mark Simpson, Ciara Fitzpatrick and Jed Meers (stream conveners)
