The Structural Biology Platform at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research is seeking a highly motivated scientist experienced in cryo-EM, who would like to contribute to the establishment of cryo-ET. The electron microscopy facility is shared with Novartis and equipped with a Titan Krios, a Glacios and a Tecnai Spirit.
The successful candidate will support FMI scientists to conduct protein structure determination by single-particle cryo-EM. He or she will contribute to all aspects of electron microscopy including specimen preparation (negative stain/cryo-EM), manual/automated EM data collection, data processing and 3D reconstruction.
