I love this passage, draws me right into the scene that is displayed before the readers
wine lifts from
the fabric, as if
nothing happened.
Second passage I like also
Thus we wine and dine again
first lullabies.
It seems a romantic encounter of some sort, where sex is over-flowing but conversation is not. Perhaps an argument? Perhaps a lost love? A woman erased from a relationship, leaving only a stain?
I am curious-- what is the original text for this erasure poem? Or is "Erase(Sure)" the title of the poem?

Subject: Erase (Sure)
Blondly, wine lifts from
the fabric, as if
nothing happened.
Speech turns simple shrill
me-centered, flat,
and finished once
desire has been fulfilled.
Tiny, smothery attention tamps down
tones of thought.
Maybe focus has at last dried.
Thus we wine and dine again
first lullabies. Perhaps
the sky needs to be cleansed
just like I need to cry
over the spilled wine once, for all.
