Hello BCS-HCI community
I wanted to bring to your attention the call for workshop proposals for ACM IMX 2021: https://imx.acm.org/2021/index.php/participation/workshops/
IMX is the leading international conference for presentation and discussion of research into interactive media experiences. The conference brings together international researchers and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines, ranging from human-computer interaction, multimedia engineering and design to media studies, media psychology and sociology.
IMX 2021 was supposed to be based in NYC but naturally it’s going to be virtual given the current climate.
We invite potential workshop organizers to submit their proposal by November 16th, 2020 in pdf format. The maximum length of the proposal should not exceed 2,000 words. Proposals should address the following points:
- Title, aims and scope of the workshop
- Format and duration (full or half day), draft schedule indicating which kinds of sessions you intend to include
- Type(s) of submissions/contributions that will be solicited
- A 1-page draft of the Call for Contributions including title, description, topics and important dates
- Plans for disseminating the call for contributions and attracting participants (e.g., list of institutions, research projects or communities which are affiliated with the workshop, and from which you expect contributions)
- Short bios (200 words) of the organizers including their affiliations and relevant experiences
Please consider submitting your workshop proposal to [log in to unmask]
Submission deadline: 16/11/20
Accepted workshops will be held on the first day of the ACM IMX 2021 conference (June 21st, 2021)
If you know someone else who might be interested in participating please forward it to them.
Also IMX 2021 is open to the idea of invited workshops where you already have a community to bring along.
The deadline doesn’t apply for those so if you have an idea, do reach out.
Best
IMX 2021 Organizing Committee
