College seeks to recruit a full-time Data & Information Governance Manager. Using their specialist skills, this role will ensure compliance with General Data Protection Regulations and continue to take our Records Management and Archive functions into the digital age.
As Data Protection Lead, the post-holder will ensure and monitor adherence to GDPR and local data protection law, be the point of contact for data subjects and supervisory authorities, be responsible for creating policies to ensure compliance with GDPR and provide data protection training to maintain staff awareness of data protection.
In relation to records management, the post-holder will work closely with our Head of IT and Digital Strategy to develop systems and procedures for records management, to ensure that relevant records are kept and can be quickly located for use. The post holder will implement a records management system compliant with the statutory and regulatory requirements affecting the use and retention of records.
In relation to archives, the post-holder will have oversight of the functioning and promotion of the Archives Department, enabling us to make best use of this invaluable resource. The post-holder will help to prioritise enquiries from a range of stakeholders: Marketing, Development, academic staff, alumni and others, as well as supporting Heritage Open Day events and pupil engagement in Archives.
Salary: £35,000-£37,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
Lunch is included during College Term Time.
