Records management in schools happens hundreds of times every single day. Statutory obligations, GDPR compliance and the need for practical decision making can throw up many weird and wonderful challenges. Getting it wrong can cause all manner of problems from complaints right through to sanctions and intervention.
The Information and Records Management Society (IRMS) has created a new special interest group for schools, which will provide an opportunity for colleagues working across the whole school sector to come together, share their experiences, and hear how others are dealing with the varied day-to-day issues across every single desk.
Join us online on 16 September at 1.00pm for the launch of our new Schools Group.
John Walker will discuss the vision for the group and also talk about the Information Management Toolkit for Schools (https://irms.org.uk/page/SchoolsToolkit), a resource that everyone can access free of charge, members and non-members alike.
