Dear All,
I've had wonderful news from Carmel Lloyd, that NHS England have updated the Saving Babies Lives Bundle and have removed the fresh ears component. The latest document can be found here https://www.england.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Saving-Babies-Lives-Care-Bundle-Version-Two-Updated-Final-Version.pdf
Carmel has advised that she and NHSE will be doing some comms about this, and I will be sharing information through all4maternity platforms either today or tomorrow. We need to support Trusts to de-implement fresh ears asap.
Big thanks to everyone on this list who supported this, and I am delighted that NHS England has been receptive to our feedback.
Also, thanks to Carmel Lloyd and Kathryn Gutterridge who helped facilitate discussions with NHS England.
Best wishes,

I wonder what the group thinks of this e learning package.
It is promoting discussion else - where- I would be interested to hear your opinions.
Many thanks

Hi Everyone
Just to let you know I had the opportunity to discuss this with Matthew Jolly this week. He is the overall lead for the SBLCB and he has agreed to relook at the reference to fresh ears and amend. I advised that it should either be removed or more information provided regarding the intention, which is to have a discussion on the overall picture not to have a second person listening to the FH.
