Please see the message below. The IMHC proposed for 2021 has been cancelled. Probably a wish decision given the way the pandemic is developing.

Subject: CANCELLATION -- International Mining History Congress
CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organisation. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognise the sender and know the content is safe.
Colleagues
You may recall that in early March of this year, I sent out an email announcing that the meeting of the International Mining History Congress – scheduled to be held in June of this year at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario – was being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
I regret to advise that myself and other members of the executive of the International Mining History Congress have reluctantly come to the conclusion that – in light of the ongoing impact of the pandemic – our best option is to cancel the postponed meeting.
The pandemic was – and remains – a catastrophe, one that simply makes it too challenging for us to host an international meeting with confidence. There is just too much uncertainty, especially in terms of travel arrangements. We feel that the best course is to cancel the meeting now rather than have a poorly-attended event or one that has to be cancelled at the last minute.
I regret very much that the meeting will not proceed. Laurentian University and the wider community of Sudbury promised to be a great venue for the International Mining History Congress.
With best wishes
Jeremy
