thank you for your reply. So I mentioned, I have 4 groups with 2 covariates age (ev5) and gender (ev6) and my design matrix and contrast looks something like this. Could you please let me know if it is alright.

The first 12 is between the 4 group comparison and the last 2 positive and negative correlation of the covariates.
I am unsure if this is correct and would be happy for some advice before I run randomise.
