We deliver ours by hand to each ward apart from our off site areas and these we send in the internal post in a sealed bag with absorbent material just incase they leak. Never had one leak to date. We normally change the quality control ourselves.
During covid we put the quality control and eqa in envelopes with instructions and arrange to meet a person by the wards entrance. Compliance was not as good as we usually get for returns when we go into the ward areas.

Can I ask how you manage your EQA deliveries to the wards/clinics please? Do POCT staff hand deliver, do they get sent in the internal mail, or do you use a different route?
We are struggling. POCT staff have limited time and the post room refuse to accept the samples for delivery - so wondering how other sites cope with this.
All ideas appreciated.
