Hi,
(apologies for cross posting - I also posted to the data protection list, but this is also a records management issue)
Microsoft Teams has been introduced in our organisation at a corporate level. One of the functions is 'chat' where people can, well, 'chat' to each other. For example, when a live Teams meeting is taking place, people can 'chat' online at the same time.
I am trying to understand whether this online 'chat' can be deleted? I have been told that it cannot be, and all that happens is that the individual user can 'hide' it.
But if that is the case (and I hope it isn't) then what about FOIs and SARs? (and other records management considerations....)
Is there a way to do a global search (as we can with the email archive)?
Skype for Business has an Instant Message feature, but the default in our organisation is that it does not record. One the messaging is over, it's gone.
Any one else with this issue?
thanks + rgds
Danny
