Dear all,
I'm a student on the MA Preventive Conservation course at Northumbria University and am writing my dissertation on the effect of the coronavirus lockdown on preventive conservation practice in the UK. I am hoping to discover which aspects of preventive conservation were most challenging during lockdown, how effective advice from various organisations was and what short term effects of lockdown can be observed as we start to reopen the country.
At this point, I am asking conservation professionals or those who work in a heritage institution with responsibility for conservation in the UK to complete a short survey to find out some baseline results. It would be greatly appreciated if you could spare 10 minutes to complete the survey, which is a crucial part of my research, and will be quick and easy to complete, with most of the questions being multiple choice. It can be found by following this link: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/DXPBTVT. All responses are anonymous.
If you are interested in participating in this research further, I will also be conducting interviews to develop case studies of how different institutions managed the sudden shut down.
The closing date for responses to the survey is the 26th July.
