I have been invited by Routledge publications to submit a proposal for an edited book on ‘Contemporary Social Problems in the UK’ with the target audience primarily being sociology students. I am currently developing the proposal which will have 12 chapters on different social issues such as family breakdown, mental health etc. I am sure a publication of this nature will appeal to students from other social science disciplines as well. I am hence inviting eminent academics and experts on various topics who could make a valuable contribution to the proposed publication.

It would be great if you agree to contribute a chapter on ‘Drug misuse’ for this book. 
As of now the idea is only at the proposal stage and I envisage the chapters to be completed within a time frame of 10 months from the commissioning of the project which should take us into summer 2021.
