Please find information about various resources and learning opportunities which Gill Ryan has kindly supplied. The information will also be uploaded to the Fair Access Website.

Best wishes, Muriel

I hope you’re keeping well. This is a special mailing to mark Volunteers’ Week 1-7 June. Here are some resources on OpenLearn and OpenLearn Create aimed at volunteers and the third sector. We know many of you volunteer your time for your communities, work with volunteers, manage volunteers or are otherwise involved in voluntary organisations. We see you, and appreciate all you do.

Here are some resources that may be of interest:

The OpenLearn collection Free courses for the voluntary sector has resources developed by our colleagues in the Centre for Voluntary Sector leadership on Collaborative leadership in the voluntary sector. There are also courses on Working in the voluntary sector and Using voluntary work to get ahead in the job market. You can find further information at https://www.open.edu/openlearn/education-development/free-leadership-courses-the-voluntary-sector

Involving volunteers is a course co-produced with our partners Volunteer Scotland. More information about this at https://www.open.edu/openlearncreate/course/view.php?id=3521

Speaking of Volunteer Scotland, check out their daily Radio V podcasts on all matter volunteering and learning. more information available at https://www.volunteerscotland.net/covid-19/radio-v/

As always, please get in touch if you have any specific learning needs that we could help with. Remember to follow @OUScotland and @OUfreelearning on Twitter for updates and tweet us using #OLchamps

You’re welcome to share this with your colleagues, learners and networks. If you no longer wish to receive these mailings, just respond to this email to let us know and we’ll take you off the mailing list.

Keep well
Gill
