Hi Hugo
I also faced problem with Catalina. Disabling the Gatekeeper of macOS
while compiling COOT and other CCP packages may be helpful.
Best wishes

Dear colleagues,
Most probably macOS users know Catalina OS badly affects to our
favourites EM/X-ray packages. For example, coot, X11 libraries can’t
be found.
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/X11/lib/libGLU.1.dylib
We re-compiled last version of CCP4 and a couple of things but errors
persist.
@developers: Do you plan to release binaries for Catalina OS soon?
@Catalina users: If Coot runs for you without issue, could you contact
me?
Have a good Sunday,
Best,
Hugo
