Hi Jane,
We have continued to work in the office as we are able to follow distancing within the department. We have been following the SOM advice regarding blood tests and vaccinations.
We have had to put additional processes in place to ensure that all new starters are seen in OH within 48 hours of receipt of their health questionnaires being received before they get clearance to start. We have a list of all staff who have either received a vaccine instead of a blood test or has had follow up testing postponed to recall at a later date although this has now reached over 100 staff and I have no idea how the recall process for these staff will look, that’s a problem for tomorrow!
Kind regards,

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] OH/ BAU
Good morning everyone
Can I check with those working in OH/ in the NHS that you are carrying BAU / following activities
Vaccination's
Blood tests ( TB Screening)
NSI/ emergences.
This may seem an obvious question; I am wanting to bring the team back into the department because we need to screen new starters completely . Once I have the full complement of PPE . Then its BAU .
I would therefore like to understand what other NHS OHD`s are doing .
I am reviewing the existing pre placement clearance advice .
If we are unable to give clearance for TB our advice has been
Unable to give health clearance, No Face to face contact ;
I believe this is not helpful to staff and mangers and I would like to understand what other NHS depts. are saying if you cannot give TB clearance at this moment .
I would suggest that we should be saying
Fit with Adjustments; ( unable to give TB clearance ; suggest that safe practices of work should be implemented at all times/ carry out risk assessments as required)
We are a Mental Health Trust
If anyone has a recent Immunisation policy which they would be willing to share ; I would be really grateful. In addition to this if anyone would be willing to have a chat with me off line that would be really kind.
Best wishes
Jane
