The Immersive Arts & Creative Technology post holder will teach; Creative Media Practice, and Immersive Storytelling at both undergraduate and postgraduate level covering a range of technical skills as well as offering an area of specialisation in one or more of the following: AR/VR Games Engines (Unity/Unreal), tools for Interactive Media and Creative Technology Development. Knowledge of professional standard digital media technical skills for production of interactive / immersive work is essential.
The Liverpool Screen School, part of LJMU's Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies, offers undergraduate and post graduate programmes in the departments of; Creative Writing, Drama, Film Studies, Journalism and Media Production.
The Screen school is developing its strategic priorities in research, postgraduate provision internationalisation, public engagement and enterprise activity. Reporting to the Programme Leader, you will contribute to these developments, whilst also undertaking teaching and administrative duties across the Media Production portfolio (BA (Hons) Media Production, MA Documentary, MA Immersive Arts and MA Creative Technology).
Current areas of industry practice / research interests in the department include: Television Drama, Documentary, Interactive Media, new approaches to narrative, 360 filming, Participatory Culture, Multiplatform, Creative Technology and Immersive Arts
