After consultation with the PSN Advisory Board and those known to be
preparing bids to host PSN7, which originally was due to take place in
July 2022, it has been decided to move the date of the Seventh
International Conference to July 2023. This will provide more time to
colleagues intending to submit a proposal while ensuring that the
two-year rhythm between the main conferences is restored following on
from the Huddersfield event, which has been postponed until 1-4 July
2021.
I will recirculate the Call for Proposals for PSN7 in January 2021; the
revised deadline will be 31 March 2021.
Thank you for your understanding of the circumstances surrounding this
decision.
Please note that the Advisory Board is also happy to consider proposals
for online-only events run in association with the Performance Studies
Network.
With best wishes and apologies for the serial messages,

In view of the major difficulties and disruptions arising from the
COVID-19 outbreak, and at the request of those preparing bids, the
deadline for submitting proposals to host PSN7 in 2022 has been extended
to 30 April 2020. Completed proposals should be sent to [log in to unmask]
as outlined below and in the attached guidelines.

The Performance Studies Network invites proposals from prospective hosts
of the Seventh International Performance Studies Network Conference,
which is due to take place in July 2022. It will follow on from the
three PSN conferences organised in Cambridge under the aegis of the AHRC
Research Centre for Musical Performance as Creative Practice
(www.cmpcp.ac.uk/events/psn-conferences); PSN4 at Bath Spa University
(https://psn2016.org); PSN5 at the Norwegian Academy of Music
(https://psn2018.org); and the sixth PSN conference, to be held at the
University of Huddersfield from 2 to 5 July 2020 (http://psn2020.org).
The attached guidelines are to be followed when preparing proposals,
which should be submitted via [log in to unmask] by no later than 31 March
2020. Proposals will be reviewed by the PSN Advisory Board, i.e. John
Rink, Amanda Bayley, Darla Crispin, Philip Thomas, Daniel
Leech-Wilkinson, and Nicholas Cook. The chosen venue will be announced
at PSN6 in Huddersfield.
