Within the project "The Social Policy Impact of the Radical Right in Europe", the School of Social and Political Science at the University of Edinburgh are delighted to invite applications for a PhD studentship. The project's principal objective is to identify and explain the socio-economic policy positions and influences of radical right parties in European welfare states. The doctoral candidate should contribute to this objective and pursue empirical research that is situated in the literatures of comparative politics, political economy, and social policy, with a particular focus on the role of radical right parties in welfare state development and national models of capitalism.
