Hello All
I thought I would share with you some opportunities as researchers to offer help during and hopefully after the current Covid-19 crisis. (apologies for any cross posting)
One initiative - The HAT project – is running an anti-viral virtual hackathon - “hack from home” – on 4th – 5th April, (https://www.hackfromhome.com/?utm_source=HAT+Master+List&utm_campaign=ccde46fc6d-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_03_31_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_3ca9558266-ccde46fc6d-113226949) which is open to all disciplines.
In addition, UKRI have recently announced an open call for funding for Covid-19 projects, https://www.ukri.org/news/ukri-open-call-for-research-and-innovation-ideas-to-address-covid-19/. There will be DEAS related angles to be explored in providing solutions to this crisis, with potential for future development and deployment.
And lastly, Parliament is tasking their knowledge exchange unit with building a rapid database of expertise on COVID-19 research. Clinical and biomedical expertise welcome but also related issues – e.g. culture and the arts, business, children and families, communities, education, employment, ethics, history, welfare. There is a significant demand for research expertise and insights nationally and regionally. Apparently It’s a straightforward online form to fill out that will take 10-15 minutes to complete. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=nt3mHDeziEC-Xo277ASzSoLpf6XskbZHvUtRYJ4I4atURUZVQ0hGNDlLMExMMEtSN1NKWkZQTlMyVCQlQCN0PWcu
