The University of Melbourne McKenzie Postdoctoral Fellowships are open to outstanding recent PhD graduates from any university other than Melbourne (PhD must have been awarded since 1 January 2018, although career interruption cases can be made).
The fellowships are highly competitive (ten are awarded across all academic disciplines) since they offer generous support (a good salary plus $A25K research expenses) and academic freedom to pursue research of interest to the applicant. See https://research.unimelb.edu.au/support/funding/internal/mckenzie-fellowship.
Please contact me or another group leader at Melbourne Integrative Genomics (http://go.unimelb.edu.au/tz86) if you are interested in applying for a project related to statistical genomics or related areas of computational statistics/machine learning. MIG is an interdisciplinary research co-operative with 9 group leaders (total about 35 researchers) at the interface of maths/stats and genomics.
See also https://ms.unimelb.edu.au/research/groups/details?gid=4%22 for UniMelb researchers in other areas of statistics.
