Dear experts,
I'll start by stating that I'm an algorithm person and I don't know that much about anatomy/biology.
I'm extremely confident that an algorithm I'm working on depends quite a bit on what I would call atrophy. By that I mean how much CSF is around, both in the ventricles and between the gray matter and the skull. Is this the correct intuition by the way?
To test if this is true, I'd like to measure some performance metrics as a function of a "validated" index of atrophy index. Is there one? I've already got the segmented 3D-T1 images of these subjects, therefore I was thinking about taking the percentage of the volume occupied by the c3 compartment over (c1+c2+c3). Is this correct?
Best regards,
Luca
