As you know we had begun to plan as usual for the Scottish Fair Access Conference 2020 on 23 June at Perth Concert Hall. However, we have now taken the decision to cancel this year’s event.
It was a difficult decision but we are conscious that the event was scheduled for the week after the current three month social distancing is set to end. Business pressures at that time may mean that people will not be able to afford a day away from the office. Also we felt that people may naturally be less inclined to attend a large scale conference so quickly after the end of social distancing.
Many thanks to those who have supported us through the initial stages of planning the event. We will continue to communicate with you about fair access issues throughout the course of 2020 and will let you know the arrangements of the 2021 conference when they are in place.
