yes, all of these things and more Nicky might be considered to mitigate the undoubted pressure on services in London and a few other places in the UK - though many places still have very minimal numbers of cases, and could plan in a slightly more relaxed way to make sure that out of the box thinking can be applied in readiness for when/if the crisis hits - and, indeed, many HoMs and others are doing just this.
I think the RCM could soon be setting up a 'what works' site for possible solutions and alternative thinking that protects the wellbeing of both women and staff as far as is humanly possible, so that everyone doesnt have to keep reinventing the wheel on this under extreme pressure.
I think Lucia, Claire, Sheena and Anna already have some examples that might help with planning for some HoMs and consultant midwives and others?
