Further to my previous email, please be advised that where a borrowing institution had a due date earlier than 23rd June 2020, all requests have now been automatically extended to this date, so all loans from the University of Edinburgh should now be due back no earlier than 23rd June.

Please accept my apologies for any automatic overdue notices that may have been sent out in this last week.

Dear All,

Please note that as of 18th March 2020, In response to COVID-19, all libraries at the University of Edinburgh (OCL: EUX) are  closed until further notice (with the exception of the Main Library which remains open with limited opening hours and is operating on a supported self-service mode). Interlibrary loans is currently only able to offer a digital service and staff are working remotely from home. We are still open to receiving requests for electronic versions of articles and chapters by email only. Please use the following email addresses:

Can I also ask that any returns of physical items are suspended until such a time as we are offering a staffed service once again.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. I would like to wish the very best of health to all our partners across the world in these difficult times. It is inspiring to see the interlending community remaining positive despite the restrictions that most of us are facing and doing everything that we can for our customers.
