Dear all,
2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children by the UN General Assembly, and the 15th anniversary of the adoption of the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (ECAT).
Against this background, the Human Rights Centre at Queen's University Belfast will host a postgraduate symposium on "Emerging Issues in Human Trafficking Research" on Wednesday 6th May 2020.
Postgraduate students and early career researchers are invited to submit abstracts for the symposium by 18 March 2020; successful applicants will be informed by 25 March 2020. It is also possible to attend without presenting a paper.
The symposium will conclude with a keynote address from Professor Siobhán Mullally (Established Professor of Human Rights Law and Director of the Irish Centre for Human Rights at NUI Galway).
