Hi Theresa,
We are going to be using our Nova glucose devices in all areas including Covid ones. We put our RA together and covered this , basically we have reinforced using correct PPE, cleaning the devices between patients/ good housekeeping in general, and keeping the various meters in the designated areas. We have put some extra devices out which are solely for the isolation wards and not to be moved anywhere else. As you say they really need the devices and to be able to perform glucose.

Subject: Glucose meters
Hi All,
Can I ask what other Trust's are doing about the use of glucose meters in Covid areas?
Our advice so far has been that they are not to be used - but this is proving difficult for patient care, as you can imagine.
Interested in what you are all doing.
Thanks
Theresa
