Hi Rachael
My advice would be to have their own card available and not buried under the PPE. After each use the individual should wipe down and decontaminate the card for future use. Happy to hear opinions of where this isn't practical, but seems like a common sense approach.
Or maybe they are issued a duplicate card that they keep in the isolation area for use on blood gas/POCT devices, but is not available to anyone else?
