I am contrasting 3 different lower-level feat runs per subject at level 2.
I have three input feats and two EV's. One ev is baseline. The other is experimental condition, which has two runs.
My intuition says set up the EV's normally like so:
EV1(BAS) EV2(EXP)
Input 1 1
Input 2 1
Input 3 1
And contrasts like so:
Contrasts tab:
EV1 EV2
EXP - BAS -1 1
BAS - EXP 1 -1
Though, I am wondering if I have to account for the uneven number of lower-level feats at level two. If so, where is this done? Should I place a 2 under the baseline condition when assigning EV's?
EV1 EV2
Input 1 2
Input 2 1
Input 3 1
Or perhaps, I should account for the uneven number of runs in the contrasts?
Contrasts tab:
EV1 EV2
EXP - BAS -2 1
BAS - EXP 2 -1
Bonus question: does it matter if the baseline condition has a different number of timepoints compared to the experimental condition?
